The winner takes it all?
There are no odds for footgolfers before big tournaments or ahead a season, but the Traditional Footgolf Cup has built a mystery around the Hungarian stage.
What is common among David Mancino, Ben Clarke, Jim Kuipers and Lionel Jacot? The answer is easy, all of them have won the Traditional Footgolf Cup and became the champions of Europe.
In 2014, David Mancino (SUI) came to Kisoroszi, Hungary and won the Hungarian stage of newborn European Footgolf Tour. We can say, his victory in Hungary was a good sign, because he won the tour at the end of the season.
Jim Kuipers (NED) was almost unbeatable in 2016. He proved his talent in Hungary also, winning the Traditional after a long playoff. His more than good form ended in Morocco, where he was crowned the 2016 European Footgolf Tour champion.
Ben Clarke (UK) had a fantastic second half-season in 2015, winning three EFT tournaments in a row including the Hungarian one. He could not win the EFT in that year, but he was patience and became the best in 2017.
Lionel Jacot (SUI) choose a different way. He was the winner of the 2015 European Footgolf Tour, but has not won the Hungarian stage until 2017 making a new course record on the second day in Kisoroszi returning after a long injury.
The only question is, who’s the next? Can the gold medalist of the Traditional become the champion of Europe this year? Come to Balatonudvari and beat the previous winners!
