Gelencsér starts as FIFG president

Today is Gábor Gelencsér’s first official day as president of the FIFG and he wanted to share this first message with all of you.

“First of all, I am truly grateful for your trust in my abilities to lead the FIFG for the next three years. 

I would like to thank Roberto Balestrini and his board, for their hard work reorganizing and redirecting the base of our organization. It was a successful job done with passion and dedication. To mention a few of his achievements, we count these:

• A steady increase in the number of members
• The creation of the FootGolf World Tour
• GAISF Observer Status
• Rules refresh and improvement
• Strengthening the FIFG brand
• Getting FIFG on its feet financially
• Organizing the third World Cup

We all know, this is a young sport with great capability to becoming one of the biggest sports in the world.

I believe in teamwork and we are working hard for our dream to come true and to see FootGolf in the Olympics one day. But, we have to be careful and need to move forward step by step.
